Girls Go Down

Welcome back to another year of partying with Girls Go Down, Liverpool’s finest and most fabulous night for lesbian and bisexual women. We took a little break in January to refill those purses and gather back some more energy, but the next event is all planned and what a surprise we have in store!

Girls Go Down is celebrating it’s first ever night in the heart of Liverpool’s gay quarter, on Saturday 6th February at Puzzle Bar on Stanley Street. Cassandra and Rebecca are playing host and we can’t wait! With 2 floors (don’t worry, there’s a bar on each floor!), fabulous music and some pretty amazing drinks offers there’s no reason to stay indoors!

The theme for the event is ‘Lesbian Icons’. Dressing up is optional, dressing to impress is not :) Who’s your iconic alter-ego?

Ellen Degeneres.. “Smart-casual veteran lesbian who knows how to work a blazer … with trainers.”

Kate Moennig.. “A “total tomboy at heart,” effortlessly disheveled edgy hi-lo/boy-girl androgyny.”

Beth Ditto.. “Uber-femme, loud patterns, bright colors and curve-hugging take-notice girly glam.”

DJs Michelle and Billie will be spinning the sounds you want to hear all night long with a jam packed party mix guaranteed to have you on the dance floor from dusk til the early hours! There’ll be masses of pop, disco, lashings of top 40s, a splash of indie, the odd retro hit from the 80s, and as the clock ticks and it gets later plenty of dance hits.

Downstairs you can find all the space you need to party, dance, mingle, dance! Upstairs will be a slightly more chilled out affair with seating, an amply packed bar and a good chance to catch up with friends old and new. Get there early to bag a table and to take advantage of the happy-hour offers from 8-9.30pm.

Entrance will be just £3 all night long.

Girls Go Down attracts fabulous women from all over the North West and the UK! The crowd ranges from 20s upwards, with a stalwart following of both non-scene and truly out and about lesbians and bisexual ladies who want to meet like minded types who just want to have fun! It’s an ideal place to come out, party and expand your social network meeting a variety of people.
